About the Artist
Daniel G. Roberge graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, Illustration & Design from the University of Massachusetts (Lowell) in 1990. He successfully applied his natural drawing skills to the world of commercial art and then later to web technology. As founder and creator of two businesses, "Dan Roberge Illustrations" and "RobergeDesign.com", Daniel demonstrates significant expertise and passion for his craft.
Daniel's portraits not only convey a remarkable likeness of the subject, but his work fully expresses the spirit and character of the individual while highlighting the artistry required in creating such beautiful, timeless paintings.
He is influenced by many of the great masters like Caravaggio, Frans Hals, and Georges de la Tour for their realistic style of painting, but also by many contemporaries such as Daniel Green, Nelson Shanks, Michael Deas, John Howard Sanden, and many many others for their composition, colors, paint strokes, and overall subject matter - not to mention inspiration!
The inception of Dan Roberge Illustrations grew from his creativity and passion for drawing and painting the human form, all the while focusing on eye-catching composition, lighting, color, and realism. Showcasing Daniel’s talent of capturing and realistically personalizing portraits from photographs led to a career focus of illustrating for the Major League Baseball Players Association’s player-promotion apparel product line (3 samples shown below), among other high-profile sports.

Additionally, being the creative person he is and his natural background as a visual designer, he formed his design consulting company, RobergeDesign.com, which is more specifically tailored to corporate and small businesses searching for Web Design, and business communications.
Today, Daniel gives his undivided attention and focus to each and every portrait commission, convinced that in the end the recipient will treasure this unique gift for a lifetime.
