Painting animals for the Merchandising market is a unique skill, as the artist must have the skills to paint and render the animals in a manner where they demand or grab attention, as well as a format that can be scanned and reproduced accurately.

Daniel Roberge has always appreciated the natural beauty and power of horses and watching them relax in their natural environments. For the big cats, he enjoys rendering the fur, folds, and icy stares typically seen in the closeup photography of the big cats.
